Despoina Foustanou (Δέσποινα Φουστάνου)

Despoina Foustanou is an Athens-based professional actress whose artistic roots trace back to her childhood, where creating, directing, and performing in improvised plays served as her earliest creative outlet.

Driven by a lifelong passion for performance and storytelling, she has developed a versatile acting style that thrives in both classical adaptations and contemporary physical theater.

On stage, Despoina is recognized for her emotionally grounded performances and dedication to narrative depth. Her prominent theatrical credits include William Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece “Titus Andronicus” (directed and adapted by Emmanouil G. Mavros) at Dromos Theatre as well as the contemporary double-bill production “To Plyntirio / Apasfalmatosi” by Thanasis Triaridis at Theatro En Athinais. Outside of performing, she channels her love for literature and the cinematic arts into co-running “To Kiou”, an independent arts-focused bookstore in Kypseli, Athens.
