Taking its title from Virgil’s famous phrase (“Flectere si nequeo superos, Acheronta movebo” — “If I cannot bend the heavens, I shall move the underworld”), the play centers on a protagonist pushed to extreme psychological limits. When divine intervention, social justice, or upper forces fail to offer relief, the main character turns to the dark, repressed depths of the human psyche to reclaim agency and control.
The narrative explores the boundary between light and darkness, sanity and obsession. As the character journeys through internal conflict, trauma, and suppressed emotions, the underworld becomes both a literal and metaphorical realm of transformation, where reckoning with one’s darkest desires becomes the only path forward.
